The March of Honor is a Ruck March endurance event that gives participants the opportunity to march a mile (or more!) in the boots of our Veterans. Participants will have a race bib on which they will write the name of a Veteran that they are marching in Honor of, or in Memory of. This can be a family member, friend, coworker, or any Veteran that they choose to Honor.
The event includes a 1 mile, 5 mile, 10 mile and 10 mile with challenges, and new this year is the 26 mile course. The 26 mile course team option is a relay where team members hand off the pack that they are carrying. The 10 mile has three option, straight ten miles, ten miles as a team in which ALL team members have to finish together, and the 10 miles with additional endurance and strength challenges along the course.
The packs that are being carried are requested to be carrying items to be donated for the homeless. Ready to eat foods, hygeine items, and cold weather gear such as gloves, toboggans, and socks are items needed. In December, Base Camp Lindsey holds our annual Christmas Stand Down at which time all of these items are distributed to the homeless in our community.
